GUNNERS INJURY UPDATES

Simon Webster, Edinburgh Rugby wing, has just had an operation on his left knee. The surgery means that Webster will be out of action for two to three weeks and will return to pre-season training mid-to-late-June. The operation involved a "tidy-up" to his cartilage.

Webster said: "This has been a frustrating injury for me but I shall now focus on pre-season and look forward to next season."

Andrew Kelly, Edinburgh Rugby hooker, has had an operation on his right knee. The operation was to correct damage to the cartilage on the inside of his knee. Andrew will be out of action for three to four weeks.

Kelly said: "The injury is coming along well. I am looking forward to getting back into it."

Craig Smith, Edinburgh Rugby prop, has had an operation to stabilise his left shoulder. It is expected he will be out for up to three months.

Craig Smith said: "My operation needed to be done at the end of this season, it was just a wear and tear injury. I hope to be back for the beginning of the new season but it just depends on how the rehab goes."
