GUNNERS READY FOR SALE SHARKS

Squad News for Friday

Edinburgh Gunners' head coach, Frank Hadden, today said self-confidence was the key as his team take on Sale Sharks in their first home pre-season friendly at Murrayfield on Friday 19 August.

Following successful pre-season training, Hadden is confident that his team is well prepared to take on the opposition. He said: "In my opinion the three best teams in the Guinness Premiership are Sale, Leicester and Wasps, and Sale have been playing the most consistently. The side have more British and Irish Lions than all three pro-clubs in Scotland, but we are confident ahead of Friday's match."

Feedback from the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand, suggested that the English players on tour were not necessarily better, but had greater self confidence and that is a lesson Hadden is keen his players take on board this Friday.
