Edinburgh Rugby head coach Frank Hadden welcomes back Todd Blackadder and Allan Jacobsen to his pack for Monday's Celtic League clash with Glasgow.

The pair missed last week's narrow 34-36 away loss to Ulster but both are restored to fitness. Jacobsen's return is timely as his replacement last week, Grant Anderson, ripped a pectoral muscle which will require surgery.

Hadden has only been able to name a squad for his forwards as Scott Murray is an injury doubt. "Scott has a groin injury. It's the sort of thing you get when you come back from a long injury but it's nothing serious," Hadden explained.

Chris Paterson is still absent with a hip problem in the Gunners' backs where there is one change from last week - Craig Joiner is restored on the wing instead of Michael Pyke.

Hadden views Monday's contest - and the Hogmanay clash with The Borders at Netherdale - as a chance for Edinburgh to move away from the Celtic League basement.

"There's no doubt we're needing to win games and win them fast. We see these two games as an opportunity to do something about our position in the Celtic League and also confirm that the slow progress we have made this season is on the move and that we are heading in the right direction," he said.
