Yup, we really need more kicking | Aside from Mossy, we could certainly have done with some ACCURATE kicking - which, on a good week, Hugo can supply. And at least he is a bit more difficult to push backwards in the tackle. |

But on a bad week, he can be very bad! However, as long as Mossy isn't shunted onto the wing for it, I'm happy to get Hugo in. According to the Scotsman this morning, Danielli (surprise surprise) and Parks (!!) are injured, so although I would much prefer Mossy to 10, Hugo to 15 and Webbo to the wing (before you say anything jamiet, I think it would be unfair on Godman to start him with the pressure of a must-win match after he got zero game time Saturday), I don't doubt that we will see Mossy on the wing and Godman at 10 with another donkey outside him to prevent any decent attacking he might try to orchestrate. |

Fantastic! To be honest, I'd be okay with Godders getting a start, although I would prefer to see Mossy at 10 with Hugo at 15. Webbo on the Wing and NDL on the bench and I'd say it's sorted! |

I know what you mean super , but ultimately if he is good enough then he well be ok , and I think needs must .
However It does sound like a bit of a smoke screen about Parks or an excuse in waiting if PG does not work.
The most important player for me though if PG does play is NDL , I know Morrison will probably be picked because of size etc , but I think it would be crucial for both our attacking options and PG's confidence.
Anyway Parks will start! |

My tip for Saturday:
Blair, Godman, Webster, De Luca, Cairns, Evans and Paterson
Shug coming on in 2nd half and Paterson replacing Godman |

| I would be totally chuffed at that selection. Speed, guile, experience and freshness. In other words, never going to happen! |

Jon
Should have been that back division to start with on saturday. However I seriously doubt we will see your choices from the start.
It is not a must win game either, it has only become that in some ways because of failures over the last 12 months.
I'll hazard a guess and say that most of us over the last 12 months would not pick the same selections as Mr Hadden, example White in 6 Nations.
What we should have seen in these two games is a license to thrill and enjoy the game of rugby for its positive aspects. We are DavidKeane of taking any risk at all and by not doing so we are denying maturing talent such as Nick De Luca, Ben Cairns, Ross Rennie and John Huston a chance to shine.
This is where Nick, Andy, Rob and the rest of the backroom staff at Edinburgh Rugby have made this past season so enjoyable. Play to our own strengths and let the other team worry about what we do, not the other way round.
Thought that the A team got going in the second half and Gordon Ross showed he can pass a ball above knee height unlike someone else who I will not mention. |
