Well, this is a bit rubbish so far. Zero ambition from Scotland as usual, except in the loose forwards- AR's mark is definitely there. And finally a miss from Mossy; a bit of a relief in a way, maybe now they'll stop going on about it. It irks me that they went for the kick there anyway, that is the sort of position where you go for the corner. But oh no, not Frank's boys, why would we go for a try when we can just pin all our hopes on CP? Grr. And could someone PLEASE get the ball to Ben Cairns? The attacking dead zone of Parks and Morrison running straight into Argentines is getting a bit old. Have they ever heard of an offload?
Also immensely frustrating is the streaming video, which keeps going in fits and starts, inevitably at the most interesting times! |

Well as a mac user I was unable to watch this one online even - will have to dig out the old PC laptop from the attic for next week - but was it worth the fee anyway?
Will we at least see the back of Hadden when we return home? |

Sigh
did Paterson hit any touches? Did Morrison ever pass to Cairns? Did the wings ever get the ball?
2nd game bring in Godman and De Luca... do it Frank or start checking out the jobs pages! |

| Surely now Frank Hadden must go. Surely. That was utterly dire. The ball went nowhere, there was no ambition. Blair was terrible in his decision-making, both during play in getting caught out repeatedly at the breakdown as well as in when to take penalties. Parks was mediocre to invisible and failed to find touch when it mattered. None of the potential attacking players had any decent ball or position to work with, and when they did get it, they were so isolated it didn't matter. The back three and Cairns may as well have stayed in the changing room for all they were allowed to do. How many times did Morrison run standing straight up into an Argie only to knock it on? As for the pack, the only one who stood out was Hogg, his usual work horse self appearing everywhere. Even Strokosch didn't do much. What a disappointment. |

Jon, was Paterson doing the positional kicking? My feed must have been worse than I thought |

| On a happier note, am I right in thinking that Mossy has now passed the points record for Scotland? |

Best bit of the match was when the communications between pitch and TMO failed, and the ref had to phone for the decision.
Apart from that there wasn't much to smile about. Why were the substitutions left so late? Why wasn't Rory Lawson brought on sooner? Why was Evans subbed off, leaving a lacklustre Danielli on the pitch?
Having said that I thought Mustchin had a good first game in the blue. He was one of the more solid players in defence. And at least Hoggy didn't give away penalties! I thought the scrum creaked a bit when Chunk came off. For next week, I'd really like to see NdL paired with Cairns, and I'd like to see Hugo on for at least some of the game. We could have done with his boot, although only if he's having a good week! |

Yeah I think you're right but I bet he won't be out celebrating tonight.
Not too many positives to come out of that one, Webster looked sharp when he came on, I thought Strokosch and Hogg put good shifts in, and at least the scrum generally held their own.
I thought Blair kept getting caught at the breakdown because the Argentinians were constantly offside, but it still wasn't his best game. Lawson looked pretty good though.
I've seen Morrison offload in the tackle so much better than he did tonight (the Ireland A game springs to mind), but after that performance we need De Luca (or even Godman) in the no. 12 shirt next week. |

Hadden thinks Scotland could have won , that usually means in Hadden speak that the team will remain the same for next week's game.
Oh dear.................... |
