Ha ha surround Godman with familiar faces.... like Morrison????
Apart from the lack of De Luca a good selection, although think Thom Evans was unlucky to be dropped. Why Parks is on the bench is beyoong me - if things go wrong could Paterson not do the job???
I may even Believe for this one! |

Yes, De Luca might have been a better shout there. As for the inclusion of Parks on the bench, I'll give Frank Hadden the benefit of the doubt and assume he's there to bring on to close out the game after Godman's got it in the bag. (He can do that much, after all, can't he? ) |

ARRRRRRGH! Mossy shunted to the wing again! Morrison starting and Parks on the bench, blargh. At least he's finally got the back row right, Hoggy is better at 8 than 7 and Barclay is a better openside than Brown. Still, I don't have much hope. I wouldn't put it past Haddock to bring on Parks to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. |

Pleased about Godman , would have preffered to see DeLuca next to him , not just because of his familiarity with Godman but for the fact he is on fire ,runs unpredictable lines and offloads well . Would have also preferred to see Evans on one of the wings as we need a fast powerful finisher if we are playing expansive rugby , we now have two lightweight/cut back inside wingers . Barclay's inclusion for me is positive.
Would have preffered to see Evans on the bench insteaad of Parks, however I kind of understand it , if Godman has a nightmare/injured and Patterson gets injured.
Come on Scotland!! |

| Hadden left Godman on the bench unused in the first test, perhaps he can return the favour for Parks |

I take it Lineen didn't make the team selection meeting?
I hope I am very very wrong but I think the back line will get pummeled out wide. |

Neither did AR by the looks of things. The fact that Paterson is on the wing - AR sees him as a 10 or 15 - and Morrison is in ahead of NDL surely demonstrates that Lineen and AR were ignored if there at all.
Two good decisions in the forwards, where our best No.8 has eventually been selected in his best position and we have a recognised ball sniffing 7.
But the backs and their replacements are a bit of a shambles...
15. Hugo is a great defender, when on form, but we need to attack better if we want to score tries, and I am afraid that Hugo just doesn't offer our attack anything at the moment. I'd far rather have seen Paterson retain this position.
12. Morrison had hands like spades, and although he was being shovelled sh!t by Parks - who's passing has to rival his ineptitude at tackling as his worst trait - he apparently offers more than De Luca who's only fault as far as I can remember was that same inability to catch cr@p passes. Passes that were thrown at his chest when he was running at pace, something that Morrison does not have in his armoury.
11. Paterson just isn't a wing. I see defensive frailties at fullback but at least his positioning and attacking are generally good from there, but on the wing he is too slow, too small, p!ss poor at positioning and absolutely wasted. Evans would have been a far better option with his explosive pace and better all round wing play.
21. There are two arguably test class 10's already in the match squad why waste a bench place with a ten who has shown already that he is not ever going to be test class. Parks is a wasted selection that could have been used to offer our backs far more potency by more intelligent selection.
All in all a disappointing selection by Hadden, and by the looks of things Hadden alone. I hope that they go out and prove me wrong forcing me to eat several humble pies, but I just can't see where the attacking panache is going to come from.
There are too many weak links...
Frank you are the weakest link...

Doubt it, Arg are very weak on the wings. |

| Borges is a big fella and can shift. If he is up against a week tackler then he'll be in for a couple of tries for sure. Just need to make sure the Argentinians are pegged back doing their defensive duties!! |

| The thing that makes me nervous about Hugo at fullback is thinking back to the match last week. Twice Paterson had to dash to make try-saving plays, first getting the ball and then the fantastic tackle to push the Argentine into touch. Hugo would still be trying to get there- he just doesn't have the same pace as Mossy, and I agree that his attacking instinct isn't as good. |

| 16-0 to Scotland so far - half time, had to defend a fair bit and they are looking good in both attack and defence - good effort! |

Keep up the good work boys!! Good to hear things are going our way for once, just hope they can keep the argentinians out in the second half.
Fingers crossed! |

Final score Scotland 26 - Argentina 14.
Shame we couldn't keep the 19 point point difference but well done. Can't believe that an intercepted pass went our way |
