I couldn't agree more.
Any promotion should be first offered to STH - apart from the dangers of p-ing us off if we're excluded, we're also the people far more likely to persuade others to join us.
If this promo was for adults, then the folk I would invite might even be persuaded to buy a ST for THIS season - one pal always joins us for 6 nations, but as he's never been to an Edinburgh match he doesn't appreciate what he's missing.
For me a lot of the value of the ST is about the opportunity to meet my family and friends on a regular basis, but also I like the feeling that we're contributing something back to the club and players. That feeling starts getting eroded when we're specifically excluded from things. |

It seems that the club have listened and are offering up to 4 free kids tickets to season ticket holders for the Wasps game on 5th December.
I intend to order 4 - one for my daughter and her friend and one for a mates son and his friend. I reckon the mate might pitch up as well - if not for this game then others later in the season. He goes along to the internationals, but hasn't been tempted out yet to an Embra game.
Is anyone else taking up the offer?
Even if it means you might not get to sit in your "own" seat and spend all your time in the bar (unless you take along kids old enough to look after themselves) it is worth looking out for folk to introduce to a Friday night at Murrayfield. |
