....was listening to Clyde 1 on way home in the car yesterday ...super scoreboard! took me back to my childhood I tell you! ...
HOWEVER,
... there was a discussion on there about a football player who was talking about the difference between european football and scottish football, and he was quoted as saying "when I played in Germany it was a job....now Im back in Scotland its just a hobby".
from what I could tell this player is a 1st team player for one of the SP sides....and I wondered what causes this difference in mentality....is it that the team become to "friendly" and there arent enough people in there to niggle & cause some friction/angst....maybe that makes a difference to performance...maybe it doesnt....but something has changed from ER playing January - May and the ER we see now.....
what could it be?
thoughts?! |

| Probably a couple of things.... probably think, if we did that last year we must be better this year as we have some good new players, and also opposition think, they were surprisingly good last year, we'll actually do some homework on them this time, stop the quick ball they have got for the first time ever! Just a thought.... |

The reason for our quick ball is out injured, and our cutting edge has been blunted by injury and loss of form.
And our playmakers' lack of a plan B means we cannot grind out results like top quality teams do. |
