I am probably clutching at straws but could they be comfortable with how Beavon will perform but with Berghan injured and Nel going to be away for AIs and 6N are they trying to get Dell a bit more exposure at TH as backup behind Beavon during these periods?

Or we are just going to be completely LawrenceBryce

If that were the case it would make more sense to play Beavon and send Dell to play a few weeks of club rugby at TH, then bring him back when his is more prepared.

The lack of club game time given to Bryce was criminal. There is no explanation why Beavon has been overlooked, that I can think of which makes sense. He cant be that bad in training. If he is not being picked now they might as well cancel his contract.

I imagine the jump from BT Premiership to full time pro is huge, especially at prop. Presumably Dell and Bryce have the strength and conditioning to play pro rugby but Beavon does not, yet. I'm not sure a player could go from Melrose to Edinburgh in a matter of months in that respect. Or maybe he just isn't good enough like Jason Hill, he didn't appear for Glasgow during the RWC period. Not much point in ripping up his contract after he gave up on his trade for the chance to dingy him after a few months.

Tight head is 80% technique and 20% strength. Bryce Just proved that.

At 30 if 5 months of conditioning hasn't got him there I doubt a couple more will. We are not talking about him making a huge impact on the game here. Just not get his head shoved up his backside at scrum time. Something a knarled prop who has played for over 15 yrs should be better equipped to do.

Firth is very unfit at Glasgow and they can't seem to get him fit, but if they lost Puifisi and Fagerson I'm sure he would at least make the bench.

Anyone know of a pub in Edinburgh which will be showing the game? Failing that I'll stream it at home.

3 Sisters or the Murrayfield might be a good bet.
