Yikes-some pretty long term injuries there.Getting as bad as Glasgow!
Presumably no money in the budget for short term or loan deals to provide cover? (Bath, for instance, were able to get Leroy Houston back short term as soon as Denton and Falitau were injured and I see have signed another couple of players today (including a tight head from the Dragons-he could have been useful up here!)

Damian McKenzie's International Record:

Caps 1
Wins 1
Rugby Championships Won 1

Not a bad record and we can finally stop dreaming.
Bill Mata. The second coming?

Thrown his career down the pan for a moment in the sun. He could have got a hundred caps for Edinburgh. His brother is no better, no foresight these guys!

Even if he cant be capped by Scotland, would still love him to come to us, think he might just be out of our price range though!

Shock horror! Stop the press! New Zealander chooses to back himself to be able to consistently represent the country of his birth at a sport they are number 1 in the world at rather than plump for a team that flirts with dropping out of the top ten permanently!

Ben Robbins is back playing for and scoring tries for Currie, although he is still listed on the London Scottish squad. Apparently came back at his own request as he was fed up not playing.

Turner away to LS on loan.

Good for him to get game time he has always looked good when given a chance at ER shame we don't see more of him.

Was expecting him to feature this weekend, but probably a good move for him.

A good move for him but quite annoying he doesn't get more chances here, looked very useful last season.

And can play back row, hooker, tight head and possibly wing IIRC from his appearances (although I may have hallucinated the last one)?

No, unless I've also hallucinated his mesmeric, Cullen-esque burst down the wing vs. Leinster.

It's a shame he's not getting games here, he always gets singled out for praise in his appearances at lower levels, but the coaches here don't seem to rate him.

Presumably this means we are getting Rambo back for this weekend?

I guess we'll find out in the next hour or so

Cochrane was excellent against Ulster

Tin hat on ... they [SRU] want Edinburgh to make a success of Rambo at 2 more than Turner? That and we keep giving Ford contracts for doing not that much.

Could be that.....or Rambo and Ford are better players than him?

I like Turner but he is not the league of the other 3. A loan move is ideal for him, he needs games and we are not in a position to take unnecessary risks. He will do well at LS as he is above that level, but not international class. Maybe one day but not yet.

Calm down, no one's claiming he's better than McInally and Ford yet, but I think if he'd been given nearly as much time and patience as Cochrane he'd be better than he is now. Last season during the WC when he got more game time as a prop than a hooker was a joke, and was about as bad player management as you're going to see.

Right, he isn't. But he never gets opportunities. He keeps getting contracts so he's doing something right, he played well when given a chance but still he doesn't play. What's Cochrane going to do with us? What's Ford? It's ridiculous we keep giving Ford contracts when he never takes us forward. McInally was a risk but he's not setting the league alight either. Give Turner a shot.

We are in a position to take risks. That's exactly the position we're in. We've floated around mediocrity for a long time, we need to change and improve. I think the coaches should take more risks - as they have with Mata and Kinghorn now regulars despite being raw and completely changing the style of play.

Lets take more risks, let's play Dean and Tolifau in the centre together. Let's see what Turner can do instead of your 'steady hand' Ross Ford. We have literally nothing to lose apart from our lofty 8th position.
