I think Jones should be #1 priority for Edinburgh, if some players need to be offloaded then fine, Jones looks to be of the highest quality.

And I'd have Dunbar & Jones @ centre next Saturday

With Bennett released to play for Glasgow and Taylor injured you'll probably get your wish.

I'd like to sign Jones, doesn't make sense for Glasgow to get him.

I sometimes remember funny wee snapshots of players, so far Huw Jones's - late in the 2nd Japan test near the Scottish line, Jones turned over absolutely crucial ball.

Have been keeping a wee eye on him - Western Province Players Player OTY, 4 tries in one S15 match (matching S15 record for tries in one match), pace, power & offloading - whats not to like?

Three thoughts occur after watching that video:

i) Jones is a class act;
ii) Saffer pitches look terrible;
iii) The Kings (whether of the EP or the Southern variety) are truly woeful.

But yes, would love to see Jones in an Embra shirt. As always, guess it'll all come down to money and whether he actually wants to move here.

If he wants to get a lot more caps then he will have to move to europe, the seasons will make it a nightmare for him if not.

He may well not come to Scotland though, it would be great to see him here but there is not the necessity now that he is tied and he will get plenty of offers from England and France. Edinburgh would be ideal for him. He could relaly make his mark and be the main man in the backs. He may well set his sights higher though sadly.

Yes please. Surely the fact his Dad was a PE teacher at Watsons and we are playing at Myreside means he should be coming home to the Burgh... :-)

Sorry to be pedantic but his Dad wasn't a PE teacher, he was a teacher (I think Maths from memory) who also taught Rugby, Music and gave religious instruction at lunchtime. An absolute gent of a chap who gave everything all the time.

I notice no small errors being pointed out in the previous comment.

Hard to argue really!

According to his agent, will honour his WP contract, so no Jones til at least autumn 2017...

He apparently made his decision after watching the Dragons match yesterday, and wasn't confident about forcing his way into the match day 23...

So still no chance of him moving this season, but will hopefully be fit and ready for the start of the next.

Now all that's left to do is make sure he makes the right choice where to sign 8)

Unfortunately if he follows up his Autumn then a good Six Nations would likely see ourselves and Glasgow priced out of a move. On a slightly related note, is Kebble not SQ? I think I've heard he is, if Nel is off maybe worth a gander.
