Edinburgh - Munster 03/02/2017, Myreside

What team do you expect to see this friday?

Mine:
Cosgrove - Cochrane - Berghan (McCallum - McInally - Beavon) / Dell with Scotland, Dicko, Nel and Rory injured.
McKenzie - Toolis (Carmichael)
Bradbury - Mata - Hardie (Ritchie) / Du preez, Watson with Scotland, Manu injured last time
Kennedy - Tovey (Fowles - Hidalgo-Clyne) / Weir with Scotland
Brown - Dean - Allen - Scholes (Rasolea) / Burleigh and Helu injured last time, Bryce with Scotland 7s.
Kinghorn

I expect Cotter to release Berghan as we have not many props available. I know Beavon is really unlikely but he is our last uninjured prop, if I refer to our last injured player's list (we can still hope that Suzy, Whyte or Arregui will be available). McCallum can cover both sides of the scrum.
Cotter said that Hardie needs to play, and I don't think Toolis will be kept with the scottish boys. I'm not so sure for Du Preez.
Hidalgo-Clyne to cover whatever needs to be covered in the backs :D ...

I hope a good result against a team which is really hard to play. They won three times against Glasgow this year, but I think our game plan is more suited to them than Glasgow's.
Time for Kennedy to show, once more, that he is the real boss!
C'mon boys, let's continue to be unbeatable in 2017! Let's start dreaming for a crazy second part of the season!

I could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing Whyte with a knee brace on at the Timisoara match.

Can't see two 9s on the bench. Kinghorn will likely be the 10 cover, so probably a centre and a back three on the bench - Rasolea and Scholes perhaps?

Yeah he was in a brace. I guess McCallum would have to cover loosehead, it's quite poor for us to ask him to do so much on an academy deal - what does he need to prove? Sign him up before someone else does.

We are running seriously low on props, and since neither Dickinson nor Sutherland made the Scotland squad you have to assume that they're out for most if not all of the 6N period. We might not even have Berghan, since Cotter said that he was next in line back when discussing Nel's neck injury. So we're probably going to at last see the debut of Nick Beavon, unless they decide that George Turner needs another go at prop.
Not sure Weir will be with Scotland, Russell normally plays 80 minutes anyway so they might decide that Hogg is enough cover.

might see:
1. Cosgrove, 2. McInally, 3. McCallum, 4. McKenzie, 5. Toolis, 6. Ritchie, 7. Hardie, 8. Bradbury
9. Kennedy, 10. Weir, 11. Brown, 12. Dean, 13. Allen, 14. Hoyland, 15. Kinghorn
16. Cochrane, 17. Elkington?, 18. Whyte/Beavon?, 19. Carmichael, 20. Mata, 21. SHC, 22. Rasolea, 23. Scholes

That would be great if Weir was back but with Horne injured, I'm not very confident.
This back-row looks great. I'll go with that.

I would really like to see Beavon given a go. I find it hard to beleive he is that bad we had to make new signings rather then even try him. If he was that bad, why not just pay up his contract and let him get on with his life?

Anyone know the Bryce injury situation? It would be good to get him back playing and let him have a few games in the prem or out on loan to the English Champ to get some experience before throwing him to the wolves again.

I am down frae Aberdeen on Friday on business, staying overnight to go to some rugby match on Saturday. What are the chances of getting just one ticket to see Errinburra beat Munster at Myreside?

Couple of dozen seats left in the main stand, can't tell how many unreserved are still available. £5 off unreserved tickets if you buy in advance: https://www.eticketing.co.uk/scottishru ... emref=5437

They said fewer than 300 left a couple of days ago so I doubt there's many left
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

They don't keep any for walk ups if it's sold out, no.

Anyone know how many tickets they have released for this one?

With the Irish in town "on their holidays", I sincerely hope they have the bogs sorted out or it might just resemble the north and south stands at Murrayfield in the 70's!!

This will give us a feel for the atmosphere the place can facilitate (stuff on the pitch willing of course).
Bill Mata. The second coming?

Good stuff. I am assuming they will have released the maximum allowed for this match.

Will be interested to see what the atmosphere is like, although maybe not entirely representative given the Ireland match the next day there is bound to be more Munsterites than normal, in saying that it often takes some noisy oppo fans to get the Edinburgh fans shouting to try and drown them out.

Cardiff match ahead of the Wales game will be similar, so the Ospreys match may be the first true representation of Myresides appeal in terms of being able to sell out and what the atmosphere Is like during the match.

A few improvements to the facilities over the last match with a similar score line at the end of the match and it will be a good night out :)
