Howdy folks.

For those of you who haven't quite settled on a pre/post-match watering hole close to Myreside the Golden Rule will be offering fans of both teams a 15% discount on all drinks on Edinburgh match days.

All you need to do to claim your discount is show the bar staff your ticket/season ticket or be wearing your team's jersey!

The Golden Rule is a nice traditional pub, always have 5 good real ales on plus a selection of craft lagers etc and a good selection of malts. Its on Yeaman Place, about 15 minutes walk from Myreside, if you don't know where it is there's a map on the Trip Adviser link below.

Hope to see some of you before the game! I was out of town for the Timisoara game so looking forward to sampling the Myreside experience after a couple of preparatory libations! :D

Anybody know what the situation is with regards to car parks for this.? Used the. Napier campus last time but haven't been asked if I want to book again, so am assuming it is a block booking. Not sure what you do if you want to use it for the first time.
Either this or I've completely missed a communication.

Edit: just found the link to book on ER site.

Yep you've got to book for each game.

So what percentages do people think tonights crowd will be for tonights game?

1. Noisy Edinburgh fans
2. Quiet or at most tutting Edinburgh fans
3. Munster fans
4. Random irishers who, God help us, are only here for 'the craic'

I'll go for

1. 5%
2. 50%
3. 15%
4. 30%
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Morning folks! Long shot I know, but if anyone has an extra ticket they can't use for tomorrow night, I'd gladly take it off your hands. I'm an ST holder, but a mate has just asked if there's any going. Thanks :)

Pretty strong team for the 6N period.

Bit disappointed to see Toolis back instead of GIlchrist from a Scotland point of view but delighted from an ER view.

Had also hoped to see CDP get a run out for Scotland but again great we can field a back row that strong during the 6N.

Who's Appiah? Happy for Beavon in there and must mean Berghan is with the Scotland squad.

That's actually a very strong team indeed, we have a good chance vs Munster without their Ireland players.

Decent team considering it's the 6 Nations.

Might be a learning experience for the young props but they have shown up well in previous games.

And I'm baffled that Gilchrist is ahead of Toolis in the Scotland pecking order...

Them

15 Jaco Taute
14 Calvin Nash
13 Francis Saili
12 Dan Goggin
11 Ronan O'Mahony
10 Tyler Bleyendaal
9 Duncan Williams
1 Peter McCabe
2 Rhys Marshall
3 Stephen Archer
4 Jean Kleyn
5 Dave Foley
6 Dave O'Callaghan
7 Conor Oliver
8 Jack O'Donoghue

16 Kevin O'Byrne
17 Dave Kilcoyne
18 Brian Scott
19 Darren O'Shea
20 Billy Holland
21 Tommy O'Donnell
22 Angus Lloyd
23 Rory Scannell

A much changed Munster side has been named for the rescheduled PRO12 encounter with no less than 11 changes to the side the defeated Racing 92 in the Champions Cup in Thomond Park less than a fortnight ago.

With four changes to the backline, Calvin Nash, in his first year of the academy, will make his debut starting on the wing after a string of impressive performances with Munster A and his club side Young Munster.

Fellow academy player and clubmate Dan Goggin renews his midfield partnership with Francis Saili after the pair last started against Connacht in December.

Duncan Williams is introduced at scrumhalf joining number 10 Tyler Bleyendaal who will captain the province for the first time, while another first sees Jaco Taute make the positional switch to fullback.

In the forwards lock Jean Kleyn is the only player to retain this place this week and he is joined in the engine room by Dave Foley who has overcome a wrist injury to start.

In an all new front row Peter McCabe makes his first start for the province joining hooker Rhys Marshall and tighthead prop Stephen Archer on his 100th Guinness PRO12 appearance. Following injury to James Cronin, McCabe returned to the province after a short loan spell with Connacht.

Similarly there is a new look back row for tomorrow's encounter with Dave O'Callaghan, the academy's Conor Oliver and Jack O'Donoghue all introduced.

Returning from Irish camp this weekend Dave Kilcoyne, Billy Holland, Tommy O'Donnell and Rory Scannell have all been named in the replacements.

Almost our best team. We're just missing Ford, Dell, Berghan (our starting front line at the moment), Watson and Weir.
5 key players, but I think we can cope without them.
I'm glad to see Kennedy starting again. Great back-row, our usual back line (bar Weir), and a youthful front five.
Welcome Nick Beavon: a long awaited start, but you're now an Edinburgh player.
I'm really wary of this Munster side, even if it's not their first XV. I hope for a win.

Appiah with Embra for 2-month loan:

http://www.scotsman.com/rugby-union-2-1 ... -1-4356075

He's on a dual registration this season, playing for Nottingham in the Championship. Age 22, height 1.88/6'1", weight 120/18 st 8. Italian-born, played for Italy U20 team that beat Scotland U20 32-13 in 2014. A loose head who can also play tighthead apparently.

They have their Irish players on the bench for impact, but if we are serious about competing next year we have to beat that Munster side. It's a big test for Hodge, Petrie and the SRU will be well aware of the line ups.

Ryan Grant goes from Glasgow to Worcester, Appiah then comes on loan from Worcester to Edinburgh.

I'm sure it all makes sense, just curious.
