All a bit playground. Sorry.

New Gunner wrote:Interesting chat over on the Scottish Rugby Blog - Johan Ackermann, Head Coach of the Lions, mentioned in dispatches as possibly coming to Edinburgh. Saffer yes, but the Lions play an attractive brand of rugby:

Bennet's comments suggest Hodge staying on, but perhaps not as head coach?

Martin Bell wrote:On the impact of the Super season, if, for the sake of argument, Ackermann were signed up tomorrow, he'd be in the same position as Dave Rennie at Glasgow. You would expect him to be doing the same sort of things between now and arriving permanently. In other words, Skype-ing the players regularly, getting a sense of where the squad is, having an input on signings and re-signings and so on.
If it happens, great and it'd be a very encouraging sign. But it's internet chat for now so not worth the paper it's not printed on until confirmed.

Because that's fine at Edinburgh - you can play below your abilities and still get new deals and picked every week. We need Cockerill to come in and we him to not allow these gutless performances. If that leads to an exodus of the pansies we're employing so be it.
New Gunner wrote:The Rugby Paper claiming Cockerill is set to sign for Edinburgh. Have seen original article but not available online - reference here:

Suggests Worcester after him, but Edinburgh more likely. Under he was sacked / became available Edinburgh were looking in the Southern Hemisphere for a new head coach...
Apparently TRP gets more right than wrong, let's see...
