What ever happened to him? There was a video of the U18s game against England and he looked really quick

I suppose he wasn't good enough, when you look at under18 teams the number of guys who make the pros are quite small.

Ben Toolis - 22nd consecutive start tomorrow. A big season from him so far been one of our better performers as well.

Aye probably...struggling a bit for candidates this season Toolis yes, Cochrane and McKenzie maybe? Weir, he at least appears to give a SteveWalsh that we are SteveWalsh (has a back ever been nominated?)

Flinty for consistently being enthusiastic despite the on field horrors behind him?

Hopefully Toolis gets some time for Scotland during the summer tour, he certainly deserves it.

Don't think there's normally a shortlist.

Tom Brown got at least one vote last year, though.

EDIT: McCallum and Watson would be near the top of my list of contenders.

Probably should be on a separate thread! However Caullie Lug award is for commitment to the jersey over a number of years as epitomised by Chunk.

How does that work? I thought it was awarded annually for commitment in the previous season. If it is for commitment over a number of years, then the same person will tend to win it for a few years in a row until they retire or someone else somehow builds up to the same level of long term commitment.

Would someone explain to me why so many Edinburgh players slow down when carrying into contact.

It was a long time ago. It never really started to be honest! Roll on September.
