hmm interesting team, starting pack ok would prefer McCallum to Berghan and obviously Watson to be fit.

Kinghorn on the wing

Turner back-row cover

Our injury list looks like a quality team though

Looks weak.

I like the reason given for Strauss's injury absence.

It will be strengthened for most of next season too when "Mark Bennett (knee)" joins

Sean Lamont has bleached his hair for charity I think.

Kinghorn on the wing? I expect quite a difficult night for him... And for us. It could be painful.

Ritchie vs Fagerson will be interesting for the future, as well as Hoyland vs Jones for the summer tour.

Oh lordy! If our pack can't play a bit of keep-ball, we are going to get absolutely shredded in the back line tomorrow. Certificate 18.
Bill Mata. The second coming?

He LawrenceBryce his kidney? in the 6Ns. Hasn't been able to play since. A sad end to a memorable time in the weeg for the big man.

Indeed. Weeks of folk trying to get him to bleach his hair like the old days resulted in him agreeing but only if we raised over 5k for his preferred two charities. It's over 7k and rising

You're welcome to join in, couple of good causes in there https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/sean-lamont

Kinghorn on the wing - we are going for the full Chris Paterson treatment.

That or Scholes. Which do you prefer?

Point made!

I think we will put up a battle because of the rivalry but ultimately we have no-one of the class of Price, Horne, Russell, or even Jones dare I say in our team and I suspect they will eventually win at a canter. Shame the usual set piece of the 1872 Cup is relegated to an end of season after thought!

He's better than most of our backs. Doesn't mean he should be on the wing.
