Sorry if this has been answered before but was Piers F poor @ Edinburgh??.

He's playing well for the Blues & signed for Northampton next season

He's in the England squad for their tour to Argentina.

He was pants for us.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

He was poor.

His kicking was the major issue - his place kicking in his debut game was particularly dreadful - and that seemed to affect his overall confidence.

I thought at the time that he looked decent with ball in hand and in defence. Things might have worked out differently if he'd started with us as a 12 instead of being parachuted straight in as the great hope at fly half.

I remember him pretty good at 12 for us.

We were in a bad place when he was here. Dan Carter would have looked SteveWalsh in that side. He isn't the 1st player that left us having been poor and gone on to bigger and better things, but I have a mate that is a Blues ST holder and who rates him as "no better than OK".
Bill Mata. The second coming?

Really, how many other players have been poor for us and went on to bigger and better things, I can think of very few.

It could be he is just a better player now and playing a style that suits him. I don't think any of us wee screaming to keep him. Maybe we did just play him in the wrong position and add the pressure of kicking.

Good luck to him but I haven't see no anything watching soup rugby to suggest I would desperately want him back.

I we got a random Barrett brother we'd probably end up with the one who has legs of different lengths so can only run in circles and passes the ball like a badger.

Some would still call that an improvement.

Taking us nicely back on topic as that is my recollection of Francis in an Edinburgh jersey!

If you were looking for a defensive 10 who couldn't kick, he was your guy!

Glad to see he has found success though.

Didn’t realise he was at Saints now. Playing CC rugby while we’re in a public park in Moscow
