So another of our backrow is suspended, does anybody have any news on why , being reported not related to Bradbuey incident ?

Sounds like it is being dealt with by SRU rather than ER which probably confirms it is a separate matter.

... and was he not in the publicity issued for the Scottish scout network issued last night/today? Edit again no he wasn't, just my eyes.

Would suggest it's more serious too then.

Strange it has come when he's presumably in the concussion protocol. Could speculate but it's unfair to.

Unrelated though it may be, coming at the same time as the Bradbury suspension it doesn't look good for the club. Very unfortunate, given that we are trying hard to generate some positive momentum at this time. If he had any hair, you have to think Cockers would be tearing it out after this.

Hmm not sure what to make of this.

The Bradbury suspension looks to me like the result of a more professional and accountable culture at ER, had the same happened in the past I think it would have been brushed off.

The tone and fact it is an SRU announcement suggests something more serious with Hardie.

Await further information again, but not good news...except for our young back rowers who may get some game time.

Could be wrong, but the "unable to comment due to the nature of the incident" bit suggests it could be something where the police are involved.

Not good, not good at all.

Sounding very serious if the following is to be believed:

https://theoffsideline.com/2017/10/20/j ... uspension/

For it to end his Edinburgh/Scotland career, it would presumably have to be something criminal.

That's a pretty nothing article. Just speculating based on the statement.

More than a few rumours this is recreational drug usage.

Positive spin: if the police were involved I suspect that would have leaked; it invariably does

Negative spin: you are correct in that the article says nothing definitive, so could just be total speculation. On the other hand Barnes is a fairy well connected journalist, and may know more than he publishes and enough about SRU reaction to suggest that Hardie's career is in jeopardy.

He is fairly well connected but it's just a piece of nothing journalism imo. Given the SRU appear to be leading the investigation it is clearly serious.

If it's police or UKAD I'm surprised there's been no leaks.

Watson has emerged from Hardie's shadow? Not sure that's the best reporting

Sunday Times saying that his offence is Bath-end-of-season-partyesque.
