Yeah, they're alleging Cocaine use, but he hasn't failed a test. Which suggests that someone might have seen him and reported it through management.

Terrified of being scooped by some tabloid, you pre-empt the story by going public, positioning yourselves as the the vigilant keeper of the holy grail and thereby side-stepping any incoming that might conceivably glance somewhere near our hallowed HQ.

Please do not call it HQ. Makes us all sound like Twickenham ChristopheBerdos wannabes

Agree though that is does seem unfair on the player to sully their name so openly.

Still no real information on Hardie we have no idea how this came to the SRU attention. Could Hardie, in light of the Bradbury incident, realised he had a problem and gone to Cockers or someone else in mgmt for help? Conversely Dodson may have been sent a photo/video of Hardie snorting coke off Dodsons wife KelvinDeaker (I have no idea if he in fact married) we don't know.
Once the facts are known I hope it gets resolved professionally, the fact no drug test has been failed I would expect Hardie to still have a rugby career, it may end up not being with ER or Scotland, but I am sure he will come through this.
