over the years its been part of the soft culture at Edinburgh. And part of being at Murrayfield. All too cosy. Pretty sure Cockerill knows and has said as much since he arrived - players knowing they will be picked for Scotland however they play, and so have to get picked for Edinburgh to ensure game time.
Well Cockers by now knows the pressure from Murrayfield but at least its looking from Townsend's squad that players have to convince Townsend they are playing well to get picked, reputations don't count (see Denton, Strauss, SHC, Visser).

There's still players in there on reputation and Nel is a good example - J Gray too.

I agree Nel should've gone back to the BT Prem for a few games and build confidence by absolutely dismantling some semi pros.

Congratulation to the King for 50 caps at age 20!

He's frustrating at times but bags of talent and that is some achievement.

No Dean-Johnston combo again ! No doubt it would be a good midfield. And yet to be seen...
Without Ritchie, it will be a real test of character as he has been a real leader so far this season. Is he injured ? Or rested ?
But to think that Fruean, Berghan, Sutherland, Ritchie, Bradbury, Weir, Hoyland are not even in the 23... That's great.
Great to see Crosbie and Carmicheal showing their face too.

Didn't realise we still had Rizzo.

Cockerill said a while back that he was talking to Leicester about possibility of extending Rizzo's loan. Good move as it turns out, as Dell has a further injury. Sutherland looks like being the first of the injured looseheads to return but if he is back on form, could see him being added to the national squad pdq, so hope Rizzo is here for at least November.

Pretty much unwatchable would actually be better than no feed at all.
No links on any other of the usual sites, and I can't get any of the four VIP links to run.

I’ve bought a day pass for Eurosport, works great. Using tunnel bear to appear in Italy. Registered by using an address of a hotel in Rome and paid 6 euros via PayPal. Feeling quite smug at my ingenuity :D
