Let Glasgow take Hamilton. Problem solved.

Would be daft to let Bradbury go now.

Bradbury and Hamilton are very different players, Hamilton gives them another 6/7 but Bradbury gives them the carrier they're looking for.

I don't want him to go, but they won't give us a 9 without their pound of flesh. The SRU won't sanction it either considering this silver Saturday carry on.

Players come and players go. None are indispensible

Big effective ball carriers and quality 10's are Gary!
Bill Mata. The second coming?

Not convinced, on current form, pyrgos or price adds enough at 9 to justify losing Bradbury.

While West Coast fans may want a big carrier I am not sure Glasgow mgmt do or they have the budget for one at present. They need to get more go forward from almost the whole pack not just an 8.

I'd be more upset to lose Ritchie over Bradbury but still not worth it. Hamilton would be a good signing tho - he is a tackling machine.

Meanwhile we have 5 locks and 3 will likely be away with Scotland. That puts a massive onus on Hunter-Hill and Hamish Bain.

If the SRU had their way, Bain would be off to Nice. Cockerill vetoed it.

if it is true then it means we probably will lose Bradbury. Just seems a lot of back row players to have.

Hopefully Crsibie gets a run of games, not much between him and Bradbury.

Is 9 too many when 4 or 5 of them can be affected Scotland call ups, there's also a bit of emergency lock cover, and two of them have played maybe one or two top level games?

Glasgow also have 9 signed up for next year.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Barclay is out til Xmas and he & Hamish will be rested for Scotland/RWC.

9 seems ok, as 3rd choice will be Nayolo, Miller & Crosbie.

Depends on how Cockers sees it, Bradbury will be ambitious to play for Scotland and if Cockers doesn't see him as ahead of others in the squad then it may make sense.

Just as it would for Glasgow not to carry 3 9s who have international ambitions.

Hamilton covers 7 which will be useful if Watson is away a lot and Barclay is injured.

Don't get me wrong I would love to keep them all, but at the moment we have a depth in the back row and are very thin at 9, so we need to balance the squad.

Luke Hamilton confirmed - 1 year deal with Edinburgh.

“He can play across the back-row and his dynamism adds another dimension to our attack. We’re looking forward to seeing how he develops in an international quality unit alongside the likes of Luke Crosbie, Bill Mata, Hamish Watson, Jamie Ritchie and Magnus Bradbury.” - R. Cockerill

Maggie's going nowhere based on that quote.

Good addition think he will do well in the pro14.

From ER article

'He can play across the back-row and his dynamism adds another dimension to our attack. We’re looking forward to seeing how he develops in an international quality unit alongside the likes of Luke Crosbie, Bill Mata, Hamish Watson, Jamie Ritchie and Magnus Bradbury.”

Perhaps Miller heading west then if any? Although no mention of barclay either.

Edit: bah timing!
