Completely agree - both he and Bennett can and have played in both positions - remember also the whole chat around swapping over depending on whether it was a defensive or attacking set / left or right etc etc.
Both can do a job with either number on their back - my personal preference would be Scott @ 12 and Bennett at 13.
Can we afford him? Fruean was a marquee signing, so if he is replaced then I'm sure we can get quite a lot of the way there. Other benefits of being in Stockbridge, better injury management and being under Toony's nose could help bridge the gap, if it isn't all about money.
He also lives round the corner from DentWeezy, so moving away from The Hair could be a blessing too...

The season before Solomons arrived, Scott was playing more often at 13 than at 12.
Does it really matter when, who was coach or who played 12 inside him when he was played at 13?
I think the point is that whilst he is a good 13, on here, most people saw him as a better 12. Subject to his injury situation, I would love to see him back at ER as a 12 (who also plays 13) and if he harbours any desire to get back into the reckoning for the national side, it would be almost the most logical of moves given how we are playing now and with the resources we have lined up at 10.
