Agreed. And we got a fee, even if a small one.

It would be the fair and sensible thing to do, just get Cockers to ask and Hastings will be over toute suite.

Well apparently that's how it works (according to our chums in the west)
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Good luck Dicko, turn that next generation of front rows into monsters.

Sad to see him retire, top player, professional and bloke. Silver lining he is exactly the sort of professional role model you want around and coaching the players of the future

It's never the best when the decision is made for them due to injury, but Dicko can retire in the knowledge that he had a brilliant career, and is very highly thought of as a player.

As others have said, best of luck to him in the new coaching role, if he can get those lads shifting a scrum above their weight like he did we are in for some well-coached young players coming through.

Yeah and Dicko's conditioning was always absolutely fantastic. He seemed a really technically sound with extremely good conditioning. Never shirked either. Exactly what I want from a coach.

It is pleasing so many former players are sticking around to nurture the next generation!

And with Dickinson retiring we should get Bhakti as well, yeah? At least he Ishtar learn how to scrummage over here....

Remember seeing Dickinson in my gym when he was young and up and coming prop doing extra sessions. The whole squad had access but he was one of the few you would see there doing extra weights etc. Dedicated and he worked hard with none of this posing about lark. He was always in peak physical condition and was just very unlucky with injuries. He made the most of what he had, was an excellent LH and worthy successor to the Chunk. Sad to see him go a few years early. I always thought that Nel - Ford - Dickinson was, at their peak, a front row that would blast any other front row away, they were strong, technically excellent and seemed to fit together like lego. Shame we wont see them again.

Aye, this from Sammy's highlights shows that front row up well

I've read in the press, I think it was Alan Dell, talking about how Dicko was showing him how to use the weight of the pack behind him and how to focus that into the right shoulder - it's all in the timing, Dicko had brilliant timing in the shove
