SHC has the potential to be a top class 9 but seems to have lost all his confidence. His kicking from hand has usually been ok but his kick out on the full from just outside our 22 against the Cheetahs cost us a try. His box kicking hasn't been the best for some time now. However his passing is at best inconsistent and he tends to rush to the breakdown with head down then once he is there look for options by which time it is often too late. Watch Price or Horne and they know what they are going to do next often before they get to the breakdown, they know what is going on and where their guys are. Fowles is better at the fast ball, hid passing is zippier but he doesn't offer very much around the park in attack, not sure why not but he never seems to try and snipe around the edges.

I am more of the opinion that he and the other 9s at Embra have suffered from a lack of coaching/guidance. Having Mike Blair at Glasgow will have had a very positive impact on the likes of Price and Horne. The Weegie game plan also helps their 9s. Our guys had the dark days of Solomons (if you're not in their 22 then kick the f3ecker) and then Hodge's non existent game plan. They have essentially stood still at best and the other 9s have got much better.

Sounds like SHC and Cockerill have made their minds up? Shame but I am sure SHC will benefit from getting out of the SRU world and trying something new.
