Of all the current fit Scottish hookers he is head and shoulders above them based on this seasons performances. He's playing well enough to keep his Scotland shirt when Brown is fit and based on his AI performances it would be extremely harsh if a fit Brown takes his jersey.

His performances have been a real.credit to him.

It's quite a feel-good story - McInally was a good back row but struggling to get near the Scotland team. To be fair to Johnson he suggested the switch, but for a long time it looked like it wasn't going to work - I for one remember suggesting he move back to the back row a year or so ago.

He also struggled under the co-captaincy and Hodgemare last season, then along comes former international hooker Cockers, who seems to have given Rambo the confidence to make it. His performances have been a revelation, and Cockerill is clearly glowing in his praise. Liked the bit about him performing at Test level for Edinburgh - the under-performance of Scotland players for Edinburgh was identified by Cockers as part of the rotten culture, so thoroughly satisfying to see comments like these.

RC appears to have taken quite a shine to Darcy Graham as well...
