Well.

That was nice.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Wow, what a win - could be a season defining moment, that! Anyone know when we last won in Belfast?

Jesus what an ending! Well in Weir! Would be a v nice way to sign off a patchy Edinburgh career. I'd rather have him than Van Der Walt right now.

A lot to work on. The backs just didn't get going at all. Enjoyed Harries performance as he always looks for work - would really like for VdM to do that. Agree Bennett looked the most likely but we really miss the spark of Kinghorn there too.

Carmichael is excellent - really gives good selection headaches when Toolis and Gilchrist return. Mata excellent. Fenton is improving by the week.

Was the same on the BBC website - probably centralised.

Might be live play

Yeh on,k I'm heavily medicated, half_ -drunk , and a bit overexcited. Just found it funny as they had to look at what could've been.

When did we last beat Irish teams in consecutive games?

Yes it was. And hands up all those who nearly burst their boilers at the DG not being taken the play before and having to risk the scrum with Owens getting increasingly ratty ?

Still, alls well that ends well, hey ? Some real grit shown there - well done all.

It wasn't back-to-back games but we beat Leinster and Ulster in 2015.

Got to think Cockerill got that spot on with selection it was a proper forwards win.

Don't think that is the match to judge our backs on, they have scored some very good tries this season, i think tonight the Ulster defence was superb Marshall in particular shut almost everything down.

WdW looks a good player to me, solid kicking game, crisp pass and can run the ball. But the end was made for Weir.

What an amazing job Cockers and the team are doing Last season, we'd have lost that by 20 points, tonight we were all over them and had them on the back foot for most of the game

Great performance from Sam H-C tonight, back to his best just as he's leaving, drat! But Fowles was very sharp too, kept the momentum going at a cracking pace

Another positive leap in the right direction. Carmichael is making big strides. Bennett looking sharp too.

Good composure at the end to work which was clearly a training ground move.

Pleasing win.

The pick'n'go from the pack was absolutely top notch tonight, that's where we won the game. We kept winning those collisions, we have an abrasive pack who back themselves - and that is without our international tight five, plus the guys who would sit on the pine at 16, 17, 18 in a full side selection, plus Hamish.

Good depth, playing well.

Letting Sammy go is a mistake unless we get somone better signed up.

I had to leave it with 4 minutes remaining then checked the scores and the table which should have been 2/3 minutes after the end and saw that Edinburgh lost by two points...then came on here and thought what's going on here.

Then went back to the scores and tables....hey ho.

Someone was just a bit over zealous with the updates...well done boys and Duncie Weir!!

Just again a little point that Bradbury won the penalty in our half that got us back into it, and it was his drive over the line that set up the 5m scrum. Great impact off the bench when we needed it.

Crazy how competitive the full team pack will be the rest of this season, how do you pick from Mata/Du Preez/Watson/Hardie/Bradbury/Ritchie if they play like they did tonight? And when Gilchrist and Toolis are back, who do you put at 19 when McKenzie and Carmichael are playing so well?

What a game! Great to see Edinburgh go into an important game played in an intense atmosphere and win it at the death. Awesome from the forwards. Seemed to have Ulster going backwards with every carry. Backs had their moments - Dean, Bennett and Harries stood out - but they weren't particularly flowing. I think van der Walt struggled picking the right pass but a lot of that was Ulster pressure. Luke Marshall had a great game defending and shut down a lot of opportunities for Edinburgh to go wide.
