Rescheduled for 7.35pm on Friday 16th March at Murrayfield. With Scotland on the early kick off the following day I don't think there will be anyone doubling up.

Heads up that the postponed game may originally have been on Alba, but the game tomorrow night is on BBC2 Scotland.

CDP on bench as well. Interesting that big Harries appears to be getting a late run at the business end of the season!
Bill Mata. The second coming?

The Munster team to face Edinburgh at Murrayfield in their rearranged Guinness PRO14 clash tomorrow night has been named by Head Coach Johann van Graan.

There are six changes to the starting XV that defeated Glasgow at Irish Independent Park three weeks ago.

Billy Holland captains the side on his 150th PRO14 appearance as JJ Hanrahan, Rory Scannell, Darren Sweetnam, Mike Sherry, Jack O’Donoghue and Conor Oliver are all drafted into the side.

Sherry makes his first PRO14 start since April 2016 after recovering from a long-term back injury with Tommy O’Donnell named among the replacements and set to feature for the first time since sustaining a shoulder injury on New Year’s Day.

Simon Zebo starts at full-back with Sweetnam on the right wing and Alex Wootton on the left flank.

Rory Scannell partners Sammy Arnold in the centres with Hanrahan at out-half alongside scrum-half James Hart.

James Cronin, a try-scorer against Glasgow three weeks ago, keeps his place in the front row and is joined by hooker Sherry and tighthead prop Archer.

The second row of Jean Kleyn and Holland remains in situ with two changes to the back row as O’Donoghue and Oliver come in to partner Robin Copeland.

Kevin O’Byrne, Dave Kilcoyne and Brian Scott make up the front row replacements as Darren O’Shea and O’Donnell complete the forward cover.

Academy scrum-half Jack Stafford, who is set to make his second senior appearance, is among the backline substitutes along with Bill Johnston and Dan Goggin.

Munster: Simon Zebo; Darren Sweetnam, Sammy Arnold, Rory Scannell, Alex Wootton; JJ Hanrahan, James Hart; James Cronin, Mike Sherry, Stephen Archer; Jean Kleyn, Billy Holland (C); Jack O’Donoghue, Conor Oliver, Robin Copeland.

Replacements: Kevin O’Byrne, Dave Kilcoyne, Brian Scott, Darren O’Shea, Tommy O’Donnell, Jack Stafford, Bill Johnston, Dan Goggin.

I think Townsend has been quite accomodating for us with his selection for the game in Rome.

To be honest, there aren't many in there that you'd put ahead of the guys in the 23 for Scotland. In fact I don't think there are any. Berghan's unlucky to be dropped, but I think most people would agree that Fagerson and Nel are ahead of him.

Going to be cold tonight, here's hoping we get a result that will warm the cockles. Pack has to be right up for this, knock Munster back at the gain line and then see what we can do to pick their defence apart. Come on lads.

The back 5 of our pack are as good as most in the league, even with internationals available so I really hope we can get parity in the front row and let them loose.

The backs have a lot of potential, still not firing on all cylinders but if we can get the ball to VDM and Bennet they can do some damage. Munster are always organised and strong, but they don't look overly scary.

Cold wet and windy, proper rugby weather not like the 17c in Rome.

Two pretty strong teams for the 6N period so hoping we get a decent match.

Agree with DL that the back 5 of our pack is particularly strong.

In Sutherland, Berghan and Fenton could argue that is the strongest front row combination so will be looking for them to come on and make an impact.

Under foot conditions should be good for the backs as well and we have the talent there to get some tries.

Pretty confident these days that we are not going to be outclassed or bullied, this will be a big test but so far we have not come up short in many under Cockerill.

Chances of some 82nd minute drama from Weir to win us the game?

Nah, I'm getting a bit bored of that. Bonus point win by 50 minutes would be preferable

The ref is just abysmal for both teams at the moment.

He seems to be making up new laws as he goes along.

Wobbly performance. We're kicking pretty badly, but our passing's not so great when we don't.

Bradbury's been good though, 2 turnovers at least that I saw. Van Der Merwe and Fife at least making something near the end as well.

I thought the "if your feet are off the ground, you can play the ball after it's crossed the touchline and keep the ball in play" law had been changed.
