Cheers Yonthing, interesting what stands out for me is how few points we have scored compared to those around us. Does not feel like we have been struggling to score perhaps that is the effect of winning games.

The memory of scoring points might be influenced by the Challenge Cup, where we scored 37, 73, 50, 78, 34 and 10 in our games. We've had a few low scoring matches - nilled by Glasgow, only 17 in the game we won, low scores against Leinster, Scarlets and Benneton early in the season, last week's game etc. We haven't had many games where we've cut anyone up in the league. The Kings twice, Ospreys and Dragons at home, that's it.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

The tries scored bears that out

The picture on tries scored in the Conference bears that out:

Glasgow W: 61
Leinster: 71
Scarlets: 58
Edinburgh: 46
Munster: 65
Cheetahs: 61
Ulster: 55
Cardiff: 40
Benetton: 37
Connacht: 39
Ospreys: 31
Zebre: 36
Dragons: 33
Kings: 36

Edinburgh is 7th for tries scored and are missing out on TBPs.

I'm not surprised by it - is it not generally accepted that it takes longer to sort out an attack than it does to sort out a defence?

Yeah, fair enough. It's going to take Hodge a while to sort out the backs and the attack.

Oh, wait a minute.....
