Weir making the decision to release him look silly.

He does seem to have found the knack of scoring at key moments.

I'll get a whip-round going at the next home game.

Weir won the game for us. Team really battled for this one and slogged out a great win. Hardie was excellent, just so physical. Another scrappy game won by sheer hard work, Cockerill has really changed the mental attitude of this team.

PS Lucky tight win for the Weegies too!

Save a couple quid by cancelling Fowles contract.

Good win, good attitude exemplified by Hardie charge down in 7s and big chase and tackle 78mins later, huge work rate.

Very lucky to win that one, TTF for Duncy Weir.

Excellent shift by so many of the players, particularly Hardie, Bradbury, Fife, Gilchrist. Surprised Kennedy didn't get on in place of Nathan Fowles, who did not have a very good game tonight.

Butt ugly win but I'll take that any day of the week. Bradbury well worth his MotM award.

Fingers crossed the Bloos can do us a big favour tomorrow.

Toughed that one out but showing good resilience. As per others, thought Fowles had a shocker. Surprised Kennedy didn't come on or Fenton but in tight games you maybe have to time these things right.

Was getting really annoyed with fannying about placing the ball back in rucks. Surprised Clancy didn't call balls out as he was picking it up . All

That really was quite an astonishing shift from Weir. On the field for 21 minutes and bags 3 penalties, a fab breakaway try, a conversion and a couple of great kicks to touch, 16 points and winning field position before you can blink an eye. Without that, our goose looked pretty much cooked.

It was a brilliant escape from jail. What a shame that we are losing him, I think we should put a large suitcase of used notes on the table and twist his arm to stay!
