Pro 14 fixtures were published first week of August last year, although I seem to remember they were later than normal due to the change in structure?
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Last year Pro 14 fixtures came out on 7th August and European fixtures were announced on 22nd August.
So looks like we've all got quite a wait before planning any away trips.

No reason why the Pro14 fixtures couldn't be out earlier than that, as there's no conference set-up to figure out this time. Can't remember when the fixtures came out in 2016 though?

41 man squad is up on the Champions Cup site:

https://www.epcrugby.com/club/edinburgh-rugby/#players

With only Cammy Fenton injured there's 11 fit front rows in the full Edinburgh squad. Only 10 needed so Darryl Marfo misses out. John Barclay is the only other forward not included.

Mark Bennett is omitted due to his injury - Scotland 7s' Jamie Farndale the only player selected who comes from outwith the main Edinburgh squad.

I assume we can take some positives from McKenzie's inclusion in the squad given what looked like a nasty injury in the Benetton game.
Bill Mata. The second coming?

Likewise with Hoyland who has played at all this season. (Though maybe not read too much into it with Glasgow including Fagerson who is apparently out for 5/6 months!)

Did a double check to ensure Marfo wasn't in the Weeg squad.....

It seems that the deadline for submitting a squad to EPCR is 1200 GMT on 20th September, so unfortunately he will have been injured after the deadline. We have the option to replace him however:

3.5 Each club may register up to three additional players during the pool stage, each to replace a player previously registered. If a club registers three additional players, one such player must be a front row player. Additional players must have a three-month contract with the club and must not have played for another club in the tournament. Additional player registrations must be submitted by 12 noon (GMT) on the Tuesday before the match. De-registered players may be re-registered (in place of the relevant additional players) during the pool stage.

And while reading the rules i noticed this;

3.7 Each club is permitted a maximum of two ‘non-European players’ in each match squad.

What does this mean for our Kiwi 10, Fijian 8, and our selection of NSQ South Africans?

Kolpak ruling means that South Africans and Fijians are exempt, I think, so having Hickey in there is the only one affected by that law

Socino as well but still only 2 so it shouldn't cause any issues.
