If memory serves me correctly, Leinster's official home ground is the RDS so they get away with playing "neutral" games at the Aviva, even though that's where they play all their big games anyway. Pretty sure that's what happened last year anyway.

That is my recollection, too. However it could work in our favour in future after Minifield is built.

As doedin said, every game from now on is a bonus, but I feel quietly confident about the quarters, whoever comes to town, after that... who knows, we are a far better team than the one that beat Toulouse in the quarters back then.

That will mean a home country semi-final, but neutral venue, of Sarries vs Edinburgh. Presumably at Twickers.

However, in the event that’s Glasgow won the the QF, it would be an all-Scottish semi-final. But because they were the lower ranked team then they would have “home country” priority, but it’s the same one. However, you can imagine the arguments that would be made to hold the game in Glasgow. Even though BTM would be the logical venue AND the continuation of the football season meaning the only reasonable alternative would likely be Hampdung.

Admittedly, an unlikely scenario, but stranger things have happened.

As it stands we have Ulster at home and Glasgow will be away to Racing. This holds if Leinster and Toulouse both lose tomorrow.

A Leinster draw and we'll still have Ulster, they win and we’ll have Munster. A Toulouse win and Glasgow have Sarries.

To save having the calculators out tomorrow here are all the possible permutations for Edinburgh and Glasgow arising from the final matches in Round 6:

I'm not overly concerned about anyone, the fact they have to come to us gives us a fighting chance. Would rather Toulouse or Ulster though, minster just have more big game, and their back row is pretty special, I'm not sure we can compete unless we get some injured players back,

Anyone know timescales on Hamilton, Barley and Bradbury? Dean is playing well but would really like to see Scott playing with the fornt foot ball we are getting now.

Nice work again Disco. Panning out as we expected on Friday evening with Munster and Sarries our opposition. Glasgow were right in it until the end yesterday and have to think with some key players back they can have a right good go again in March. Munster the pick of opponents for a home fixture for me. They will bring 10,000 fans with them as well if we get a Saturday scheduling. Happy days.
Bill Mata. The second coming?

Semi-final permutations are:

30/31 March

Probably two Saturday two Sunday. Last year was one Friday one Saturday two Sunday but that was eater weekend so might have been an exception. I think our game is the tightest, but may well be the least attractive both in terms of rugby an TV revenue. So we won't get a Saturday slot - Leinster v Ulster and Racing v Toulouse are the big draws. So either both the Glasgow and Edinburgh games are on the Sunday or we are on the Friday with Glasgow on Sunday (Sarries won't want a Friday night).

Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

And on the other side of the draw:

Racing 92 v Toulouse
Leinster v Ulster

Followed by SF permutations:

Racing 92 v Leinster (in France)
Racing 92 v Ulster (in France)
Leinster v Toulouse (in Ireland)
Ulster v Toulouse (in Ireland)

Quite jammy of Toulouse today to manage to win but not by enough to have to face Leinster next.

It doesn't matter now but can you do an alternative one for the colour blind, next time. I'm happy to drive you to any location to do this .

National Youth Club Final is pencilled for the 31st March and can’t see that being changed, especially with exams imminent, so possibly the Friday night if we are viewed as the least valuable game by BT Sport.
