Maybe he is already doing the job but isnt allowed to talk about it?

I doubt Cockers will have any say on who it is, he is already formidable and empowering him more may not be a good thing.

Gutted all the best JP

Sums the man up he's leaving at this point in the season

FFS. Man applies for job. Man gets job and puts in notice. Man then gets criticised for not then demanding a 6 month delay in taking up new job. In the real world it doesn't wok like that.

Be better asking why he applied for the same role elsewhere

You're assuming it is the same role. No input to rugby matters at ER.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

depends what you mean by "rugby matters", but that does not detract from the absurdity of Mr IPA's comment. FWIW the post is vacant over there, has been for a bit, and I am told it is a very similar role

Team on the up
Lots of star players
Academy providing talent alongside an already young squad
New stadium
Still scope to work with rebrand

I have no doubt we'll get plenty of interest from quality candidates.

Anyone who does not think that CEO of Ulster is a bigger job than CEO of Edinburgh are deluding themselves.

It is the same job title, but he is in effect leading a bigger division of a bigger organisation. If he is ambitious, this is a step up and success here is likely to open more doors than success at Edinburgh.

All agreed Weegie. He'll also have a much bigger supporters club to ignore!!

To be fair, he has always responded to my emails. Always says some variation of 'I'll get back to you', but never does.

   ...... and you probably only got the holding email because of your handle "Weegie"!
To be fair, it's unreasonable to expect a CEO to respond to individual communications, but not engaging with, and seeking to maginalise a properly constituted supporters body is inexcusable, particularly with average gates of c. 4k including 100% of your ST holders!!
