Either Edinburgh tighten up, or it could go past 100.

So much is from Edinburgh mistakes, which are then compounded by players honey potting the ball etc. If they cut out the mistakes and stopped giving Munster the ball all the time it would help.

Narrow defence has been a problem all season.

Kennedy's box kicks have been brutal.

Pleased with the application but Kennedy's passing is dreadful and Socino's is worse!

Combination of both.

Hope this isn't the last we see of George Taylor.

Better second half. Impressed with Wynne.

Positives:
Hamilton-what a lead from him
Taylor-pretty impressive debut!.Very physical-probably a little too much contact rather than off-loading though?
DVDM-back to what he does best
Scrummaging-generally very good
Sutherland-good to see him really fired up for carrying
Marfo-good to see him back and an impressive cameo. Log jam now though with four good loose-heads.
(Ok we wre thrashed but oddly if VDW had no made a hash of two penalties to deep into the 22 we might have had a look-in for a four try BP.)

Game went exactly to expectations. Munster ran hard for 30 mins, got the BP win then relaxed. We were run ragged at spells once Munster decided it was on and our defence was very poor - both one on one tackling and our systems. How many times did Munster have a 2,3 or 4 man overlap for an easy run in? Easy to see we were scratch side against the Munster 1st team.

Main benefit from the game for us is that the young guys have now seen what standards they should be aspiring to. Hopefully a big education for them and will spur them on to train harder and play harder. Most of them dug in hard. I think most of them will kick on to bigger things.

Only glimpses of relief were Taylor in the centre looks a real prospect and I would like to see him given a chance with a decent team around him. He was fed scraps by Socino, who continues to disappoint, but did well. Wynne worked his socks off all night. Baggot looked ok when he came on and Nayalo got on. We also have real depth at prop. VdM can score tries but his defence can be very dodgy. Otherwise I am afraid to say that we saw why we need Pyrgos, Fife continues to have big lapses at FB. Ford needs to retire at end of the season his legs have gone and his throwing was awful, Cherry much better.

Bottom line - this was a scratch side with minimal prep and included most of our 3rd or 4th choice picks. Everyone tried hard but the gap between us and a well prepped, well drilled and experienced Munster was huge. Lets just move on.

Thats a match we would all rather forget, but to be honest, some of the less experienced players played really well.It was always going to be tough test against a really strong Munster team.Negatives: Fowles and Kennedy are abysmal,Van der walts two kicks that missed touch are inexcusable at this level .Ford should step down gracefully and Socino just doesnt cut the mustard, apart from that a decent second half performance.Roll on Friday.

If I'm being optimistic I'd like to think we're probably in a similar state of development as to what the Weegies were last season. They sent an equally weakened team to play full strength Leinster and got walloped out the park in the Champions Cup. A not dis-similar team went out and dismantled a very strong Scarlets team last night. This should be something we should be aiming to aspire to.

Also worth noting it's taken Kebble and Hastings a year to really show up and they are showing up very well.

Nairn looked great yesterday too.

There a huge amount to be said for Solly's "feeding youngsters into a winning team" theory. I think he is absolutely right but it is a rare luxury to have. Leinster have a great record for bringing through youngsters, how much is down to coming into a winning culture and team?

Some players take time to settle, some dont. Same take to it like a duck to water then have second season syndrome. A lot of it is in the head

Part of the reason we have no depth is Solly didn't blood young players.
