We suffocate teams with our strong pack, excellent kicking from Pyrgos, a good chase and a fast defensive line sending out a player out wide to cut off teams going round us. If they try and go back and around we just blitz them and send in our back row..

the only forward I can think of capped since Cockerill arrived is Richie, and that was just matter of time. Perhaps he should engage brain a bit more before someone asks him how that Scotland pack got on against Wales in November. I really wish he would stop trying to be smart and let his coaching do the talking on the park. The rentaquote stuff is getting tedious

not disputing that. I am saying all bar Richie were capped prior to Cockerill, capiche?
And I'm saying that being better than Glasgow's pack isn't much to shout about, see how well Scotland (with 6 Edin starters in the pack and another 2 off the bench) did against Wales. Bullying Glasgow does not a world beating pack make. Geddit?

so he didn't say
"It wasn’t the whole Scotland pack when I arrived, was it?" Righty oh.
All those guys had been or were Scotland starters, bar Richie. And he was just matter of time. Its like talking to Trump and his apologist sometimes. Alternative facts.
So, how much good ball did his pack create? Did they dominate with 42% possession and even less territory? The answers are AlanLewis all, no, and no. They did an excellent job on a Weegie pack that has been done over similarly many times, including by Edinburgh - even before Cockerill.
But I won't be getting delusional about how good they really are

* Cherry possibly an outside chance of the 6N anyone? For someone I assume brought in to be a squad player I have been impressed with his performances and given injuries to Brown and Turner and being ahead of Ford at present is it him and Stewart to back up McInally ?
