Well done guys.

That's quite a stat, and it's all the more frustrating given our second half performances against Ulster, Zebre and Dragons where we should have won if we'd have had the sort of nous and heart shown in recent weeks.

And this hits the nail square on the head. After two tremendous wins against one of the best teams in the league, we simply must back it up with the same level of performance (or better) next week, otherwise nothing has changed from the Edinburgh of the past.

Realistically, the Kings game is far more of a test of the "new" Edinburgh than the Glasgow game is. We know we can raise our game to beat a big team when we need to. But can we maintain the same mentality and level of intensity against a so-called weaker team - that is the key test.

But for tonight, let's just toast a famous away win - well done lads, proud of you :absolute:

Think we've gone back to basics recently too. Our performances against Newcastle and Glasgow have been excellent but expansive and inventive - not so much.

Our pack Vs your pack with our 9 controlling the territory. I think Edinburgh will do that well.

Great recent results and in particular yesterday was top notch, but hopefully those three lost matches dont come back to haunt us; could have been sitting on 41 points!,but we can still make the top 8 but it will be harder, but with this team and coach anything is possible.

Certainly some of our early defeats still wrankle but this weekend has been a great help and slightly redressed the balance with Ulster and Scarlets (very heavily at home) both losing and failing to pick up any points.
We are now entering a totally different period where by my reckoning we won't be fielding anything remotely near our 1st XV-barring European games- until the first week of April ! So really time for the squad members to contribute and hopefully some of our long term injuries will be back to help before too long (I imagine starting with Fraser Mackenzie this weekend).

And hopefully the Glasgow 2nd XV can help us with a win away at Treviso this coming weekend!

If we can keep up the great run of of wins then anything gifted to us by other teams results are a bonus, we live or die by our own performances, not that I won’t gratefully be pleased at those around us suffering misfortune. :P
