We are coming into this on great form, and we seem to have real self-belief too, so definitely have a chance. I just hope we don't freeze in the way we did against Cardiff last year, when the occasion seemed to get to us. Should be a fascinating match-up.

Dealing with a favourites tag in a game like this is all part of becoming a proper team, it's all part of the development of this side and Edinburgh Rugby for the long term. The likes of Sarries and Leinster have no trouble dealing with it, that is what we should be aiming at.

We are going out there to win, if we leave everything on the park and it's not enough, so be it, but it won't be through timidity.

Whilst the bookies might have us down as favourites, Cockers has been playing that down all week, talking up the Montpelier stars, their wages, how he doesn't know how the game will go, and how we'll go and give it our best.

I don't think for one second the players will take the field complacent or thinking they are favourites for it.

The big question now is, Bunnahabhain or Talisker to celebrate with?

That’ll do.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Wonderful. And for something a bit unique, there's a Laphroaig in the back of the cupboard somewhere.

First toast to the pairing I really didn't rate, but have to now grovel to, because they've been excellent - Dean & Johnstone.

Slainte guys.

Brilliant win. Plenty of young guys blending with the experienced guys getting the job done.

Special shout to Nick Lumley. Last two weeks we have looked really fit.

I don't think we played too well but it doesn't matter and what a win! What a night! What a pack! What a team! And what a coach Cockers is!!!!

Side note - sad to see Montpellier like that. After Richard Cockerill big Vern has been one of my favourite coaches of modern times. Not like that big Vern, not like that.

Pack was fantastic. Bossed the scrum, knocked them backwards in the tackle. Graham is looking better every time, JJ and Dean fantastic, fast flat ball from Pyrgos and VdW.

Rock solid. Not flashy, not oooh super spangly Glasgow flash, just solid.

I totally agree, our S&C guys are doing a great job - the previous leader in that department won world wide awards but we looked tired going in to the final few weeks of the season under his guidance, we look much fitter and stronger now.
