First of all well done Dragons-especially as nothing in it for them.
Surely that totally changes the approach to the match as we no longer need a 5 point BP win -pretty well impossible-but now any win/a draw/or two BP's (from a 4 try loss within 7 points) will do. We can now play our usual very restricted forward orientated/box kicking game which might work pretty well now it looks like a wet evening.

Any result other than that in the Os v Blues game and one of those 2 teams is guaranteed to host the Champions Cup playoff.
You need at least 2 points for the Champions Cup playoffs.
Both 4th place teams in the PRO14 will go into the Champions Cup if:
Leinster win this year's tournament; and
Clermont and La Rochelle both finish in the top 6 in the Top 14; and
Harlequins and Sale both finish in the top 6 in the Premiership.
Pretty straightforward, then

Trying to sum up Edinburgh's season in one stat:
They are the only side in the PRO14 to beat both of the teams that finished top of the conferences (Glasgow & Leinster) but also lose to both of the teams that finished bottom of the conferences (Zebre & Kings).

That really highlights how inconsistent we are Disco.

The negative points difference is telling too. Lost too many close games and didn't score enough or defend better over the course of the season.
