So he’s off to Japan, good luck and I’m glad to hear that his injury isn’t as serious as could have been, will Maggie come home now, or will he be in a B&B, just in case?

Great news for Jamie Ritchie,.

I would imagine Bradbury will hand around for a few days just in case. I then we can live without him for the next few weeks anyway.

Interview with Ritchie in bbc

I recall him getting some time off one season, this probably explains it, quite a bit of life experience for 23 year old.

Very best of luck to Jamie Ritchie, he has been through a lot off the park, on it he is one of Scotland's best players.

There's a lot in there, but one of the things that stood out to me is the bit about him missing his son's birth. It's just utterly bonkers that they thought the best thing to do was take a player who has had two hours sleep and whose partner is in hospital to play an away rugby game. I get that Ritchie is a very driven person, who trusted the medical advice that he was unlikely to miss the birth and probably champing at the bit to take any opportunity to get his career going...but surely the coaching team should be saying "Look, don't worry about rugby right now, we'll make sure that stuff's sorted."?

Have now calmed down, but to open what I thought was a new thread about Jamie Ritchie and read the first post saying that he's off to Japan . . . . . . . .
