Looking at the respective records of the two clubs the only reason to be saying Edinburgh should win this is so you can knock them down if they don't win at a ground where the home team haven't lost for over three years, or lost any game at home for two, and that was to Leinster.

Munster scored eight tries against us in this fixture at the same ground last season, the balance of the sides was in their favour, where as it's in ours this time, but that does not mean there is any "should" about this game.

Once Edinburgh have built some kind of confidence away from home, which we really haven't, the loss against Benetton showed that, but once we have built some sort of away record we can go to games like this with a "should win" attitude. We are a long way from that, we haven't earned it, this could be an important step towards earning the confidence to say "should", we have to work hard, keep to our systems and believe that we can do it.

Edinburgh's first team should beat Munster's second team.

Yes it's tricky away from home but if we can't beat the 2s then we're not going anywhere fast.

its barely their 2s. Yes, Munster are tough at home (this is at Musgrave only play there 3 or 4 times a season) but Edinburgh should win this. Not the same as expecting to win it, but should win it. Its not only near strongest side bar a couple of injuries, but its a very experienced side. Very experienced. A side which if it cannot go to Cork with this team and show up, then something is very very wrong. Losing to an exceptional Munster performance, 2s or not, would be tough to swallow but when a better team wins just have to suck it up. But a no show capitulation shoot selves in both feet just isn't acceptable and for all we can sing the praises about how strong the team looks and how good the depth is, results are where they are judged.

Edinburgh won 2/11 away games in the league last season, we won none from six until we beat Glasgow at Scotstoun over Christmas, the next away win was Scarlets in April.

There is no should for this team, we have to earn it.

How on earth can Mitrea ask the wrong question there? No sight of any grounding (TMO quite clear on that) and he asks about knock-ons. Should have asked "try or no try?"

Their try was a stinker by the ref, no doubt. More generally though, this is like the Bordeaux game all over again in terms of really, really poor execution by us, but just against better opposition.

Unlike the Bordeaux game though, I think I'd be okay with getting a draw...

Glad someone answered the question I was going to ask!

No Idea how that try was awarded. Had to switch off Munster TV, as I thought Edinburgh was playing on a National broadcaster. Then realised it was South West Ireland TV.

The games there for the winning. Need to get in the refs ear, as that is all their captain is doing and making the ref question his decisions.

Dreadful first half. Constantly squandering good opportunities through basic errors and poor decisions typified by Kinghorn kicking the ball away from the scrum on their 22. This is not a good Munster side. Just hold on to the ball and the chances will come. Jack sitting far too deep, I'd het Hockey on for the 2nd half.

Well, hard fought against 15 and the twat in pink, Kinghorn picked out the runner, nice. Not good for my blood pressure in the last 10 minutes, a great 4 points.
