That's a decent bench.

Reasonable amount of rotation among the starters, which is good to see.

How seriously will Wasps take this?

Hmmm.Well I have always said the Glasgow games are the priority...but didn't quite expect Wasps to take it so seriously!Their back division especially-look quite a bit stronger than last week.I suppose a good test of our squad and as mentioned above some pretty heavy artillery on the bench if we need to beef up later on to secure this one.
Any streaming coverage available this week?

It looks like the Edinburgh pack have to get the upper hand and hold it hard.

I'd not fancy that Wasps backline getting a lot of ball against that Edinburgh backline. Conversely, the Edinburgh backline will need more ball than than the Wasps' to prosper.

Coverage, albeit pretty sh1t coverage, is available on the euro rugby website.

We need to do the same again and just dominate up front. We dominated their scrum, line out and maul last week and I hope we do it again, we have the pack to do it. Hopefully the ref will pick up on them dropping the scrum when under pressure and let us shove them off the park. Their front 5 were very poor and looked very unfit. Nel should have a field day. Their best forward last week, Willis, isn't playing and Johnson is in the back row. He is a penalty machine and is about 3 stone overweight. Young is a cracking player but its his first game for months and months so might struggle with game fitness. We need to keep moving the breakdown point around the park and run the legs of their pack. Like last week they will tire and we should be able to dominate the ball.

Still a bit worried about their backs, they looked good at times against us but poor handling and support play let them down. We need to have good line speed, target Sopoaga and watch out for his wee kicks and chips behind our rush defence. At times we defended a bit narrow and having Hoyland at 15 worries me a little, his positional play is sometimes a bit naive.

We have enough to beat them. I would like to see us playing boring rugby, keep it tight and use the set pieces to gain territory and possession. When we do move the ball out I would be happy to see us using Taylor, Farndale and Darcy running angles back into their fringe defence targeting their 9-10-12 channels - Sopoaga is weak tackler and with Johnson at flanker there will be space there. I would be happy with us using penalties to win the game. However I suspect they will go for broke and look to move the ball about and use the pace in their backs - they have nothing to lose. If we can dominate them and play our own game then we will win. If we try and beat them with an open game then, with home advantage they will score more than us.

Good to see players being rested ahead of the important league games. Hopefully the side selected can give a decent account of themselves, but this competition isn't the priority, so not too bothered if we lose. Fielding a weaker side is what not prioritising a competition means, after all.

Does anyone know what's up with McKenzie? Seems to have been out for a while now...

Pretty dire fare so far, Wasps are not a good side and we aren't really troubling them. It looks to me that with a bit more confidence we could be decent, we need to get some phases going.

Pretty horrible first 40.

We should be winning this but are our own worst enemy.

Pretty frustrating to not have a tmo. Looked fairly clear to me that their try was set up by a guy reaching back behind him in the ruck to pick the ball up. Suspect the ref thought it was a bit dodgy too but with no replay had to give it

Aye and maul has lacked control at key plays.

Just all a bit untidy, except scrum where we have bullied them.
