Coronavirus etc. thread

Postby Frenchy on Sat Mar 21, 2020 1:16 pm

It's quiet around here, which is saying something.

Hope everyone is OK and staying safe. Please do shout if there's anything anyone can help with!

The club is apparently going to be livestreaming some classic matches, with today's being Edinburgh V Toulouse from 2003, available here at 3pm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na3M_bZ ... e=youtu.be

Cheers for that, only caught the last 20 mins, but very enjoyable. Watched the rerun of Scotland v Aus yesterday. Really good initiative to stream these old matches.

Racing game on now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vA3cMOG4RXo

This was, I'm pretty sure, the first Edinburgh game I went to.

Cockers will be doing his nut, defence is shocking. Can't see us getting anything out of this match. :)

20 points down, ~15 mins left. Not worth watching the rest, is it?

It was fun watching that, Wee Greeg and Visser were terrific, Bill Johnson(?) on coms very good.

Having said that, it wasn't great rugby, defence was optional and some of the hand skills were poor compared to only a few years later, let alone now.

We expect a lot of these young men

yeah, oddly I thought Laidlaw was much better at 10 than 9. And I don't think he is a 10!

Whatever have they done to Tom Brown? very very good when he came on.

Had to laugh at Bill Johnson when Chabal went off for blood to be replaced by Qovu " another 18 stoner". Qovu hasn't seen 18st since he was about 12!!!!

Surprising how many on both sides still playing
