Yeah take that.

Cracking tries in 2nd half, sheil and shoe (set piece) made a difference.

WdW controlled things really well kicking was good from tee and hand.

Kinghorn and VDM both looked sharp when they got ball.

Agree with that, Hodgson also looked good, he is maturing into a very effective player, he could be a dark horse for us and Scotland.

Sau didn't show any of the defensive frailties talked about earlier in the thread,

Shiel has to move up the pecking order, he is electric and we need that.

yES,hODGSON MUST BE OUR nO 6 LOCK BOY DID HE TAKE HIS CHANCE. (A bit like Hew Jones who I thought was excellent.)
A bit turgid but suddenly took control and looked excellent inlast 20.Just got to contrive to get the ball to Van De Merwe a bit more please!

Agree except they didn't attack Sau who was pretty weak in defence and some curious decisions in attack.

Hodgson was pretty good and it's a shame Davidson took a knock because was a big chance for him.

Was a bit disappointing apart from a few bits of play. Shiel very good - has the best pass in Scotland. Zip.

Leinster 24-13 up against Munster with 20 minutes remaining.

If I understand correctly, Leinster winning and Munster failing to get a bonus point would guarantee Edinburgh a home semi final.

EDIT: Devin Toner yellow carded, now 24-20...

EDIT x2: Finished 27-25. If Edinburgh get at least a BP against Glasgow OR if Munster do not get the full 5 against Connacht, then Edinburgh have the home semi.

Won our conference, home semi guaranteed. Oh yes.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Guaranteed? Even if Munster get 5 and we get 0 next week?

First tiebreaker is Games won?

EDIT: Apparently so, according to wikipedia, although the link to the competition rules doesn't work.

IIRC the criteria for qualification is league points, then games won, then points diff, then head to head. We are above Munster on all of those as things stand.

We need to win next week to keep the momentum going

If that's correct then we are already through (in which case why on earth did the Munster scrum half kick the ball out on 80 mins rather than keep it in play as only a win would keep them in with a chance next week??

Munster can still be caught by Scarlets.

Two try’s given away, another one with Kinghorn running back to the ball, good in the air though.

Allowing for the break reasonable performance. Can see scho starting next week, not sure what they’ll do at SH if Pyrgos is fit. Glasgow clear tactic not to play down VDM wing.

Hopefully it’s a better game next week with nothing to play for by either side. Hope the folk that get to go enjoy.

Never mind the performance and result, I’m more concerned about the hairstyles being sported. Hamish is a lost cause but surely Rambo and Hodgeson are savable. I despair at Sau!

Good to see Bennet and Sutherland sticking with the high and tight.

Ryan Wilson’s attempted tackle on Sheil when he ran in for his try ........ comedy gold!
Bill Mata. The second coming?
