We look weary already, could be a long second half. Leinster are just relentless, punish everything and give you nothing.

What happened to Bennet?

Leinster away, toughest game of the season in any circumstances but with 23 missing a massive task.

However , first half was poor looked like our energy was down, attacking limitations continue, too many mistakes which leinster just exploit.

Few positives.

Miller and crosbie again put in decent shifts.

Blain looks to be improving with the run of games solid under high ball tonight.

Darge in his cameo looks decent and another back row with a physical edge.

Leinster are an example to everyone in how to run a club, loads of young, talented, strong & superbly coached Irish guys.

The basics seem to second nature & ingrained in everyone.

I reckon it was "the game" early doors- very robust & physical Edinburgh play took us to the Leinster 10m line & an Edinburgh line out, think the commentator said 38secs later a Leinster try. Terrble, risky throw, turn over ball - 5 points.

Blain, Miller & Crosbie were the best performers for Edinburgh.

Only watched the first half since I didn't want to put myself through much more.

We looked totally out of it after the first try, slow to get back in line, no real dominant tackles to stop their momentum when they got going, slow laboured attacking when we did have the ball.

Whichever try it was that came down the blindside stood out, Cherry is behind the ruck and has a brain freeze and stands there too long instead of folding, leaving their winger unmarked. Turns a normal defensive set on our 10m into a try in 1 phase.

Can't say I was impressed with anyone in particular, at best Blain handled the kicks reasonably well but was shut down whenever he tried to run.

We always knew that Crosbie "had it" but the biggest encouragement for me in the last few weeks has been seeing Miller come to the fore and put his hand up for a permanent pro contract. From a Scotland perspective, it probably makes most sense for him to get that pro contract along the road.

Blain is also showing that there is potential to enhance our depth in the back three, though he's got a bit to go yet.

Big brain fart at the line out leading to the try, unlucky with Eroni, certainly seemed to make a decent effort to grab it but down 14 we were vulnerable. A lot of good work put in but against Leinster we always need our strongest team, they just churn out another 23 good bodies for every game regardless of internationals or injury.

Wonder if the SRU scout Ireland for young SQs. The provinces are overloaded with talent right now.
