Hastings was out of position yesterday but would have thought he would be in shape for Friday , however , tight turnaround perhaps.

On tonight’s game ? is Dean injured or being rested ? He has played a huge amount of 80 minute rugby since back to back restarts .Hope to se a fresher player on return .

very tight turnaround, but the he had another 10minute rest in the bin during the game
He was out of position and generally SteveWalsh looked as if his head was in Gloucester already. Or somewhere less salubrious.

He did nothing to suggest he desrves to be rushed back into the 23 for Paris. No pace (no more than) Jaco. I'd go Harris and either Jaco and Rufus Maclean for the bench .If Hogg covers 10 then Maclean makes it (Maitland's out by the way)

What's wrong with Maitland, he didn't look happy coming off, I assumed he thought he would get the 80 with the game won and no need to risk Hogg for the remainder.

I cant see McLean making the bench, he is very good, but a bit lightweight to throw him in against the likes of Thomas. the fact he played yesterday suggests he wont make the 23.

I wonder if it is a player release issue with Maitland, Premiership clubs agreed, but Saracens obviously not one of them at present.

Hastings may not have shown a lot last week but he is still a far better player than Jaco and a coaching staff who see Jaco as a step down from a talented 15 who plays 10 less frequently than leap years occur.

Who are the team in white, and what have they done with Edinburgh?

All the territory but no points.

Savala looks confident few nice early touches.

It's noticeable how flat he's playing and challenging the defensive line! Not seen a 10 do that for a while.

Shiel with a good start.

That pass from Shiel to Taylor was sublime.

as was the one to Crosbie to take at pace, who made a good carry but crucially posted ball back immediately for Sheil tracking. Great play
