Voting now open for the Caullie Lug Award.

Eroni Sau the clear favourite?

Not a champagne season but for me a few decent showings.

Would agree with Sau good season

Hoyland has been good

Thought Miller and Hodgson have both had big seasons.

Crosbie started season very well perhaps dipped a bit in the middle.

Cherry maybe from the front row

Champagne season no, more a bottle of Bucky season.

When I looked up the stats for players on the Pro 14 site it has Eroni Sau as our most effective player by a distance. However it also states that Henry Pyrgos has a 0% tackle success rate, so I'm disinclined to take their numbers at face value.

I really like Sau, he has come on to some good form of late, however, I'm never sure of this award going to a back, so for me it would be Crosbie, or at least a toss up between the two.

I voted for Hodgson.

Been impressed with how he's handled this season with his much more experienced second row partners (Toolis, Gilchrist, McKenzie) being absent most of the time.

I know what you mean about it going to a back but Sau's chipped in with more than his share of turnovers at the breakdown and crunching tackles this season.

My vote went to Sau for those reasons- turnovers, bone crunchers and just running over half a team on the same carry.

I would've gone Hodgson or Crosbie if not for Crosbie's dip in form around the six nations.

I voted for Murray McCallan, just so he can introduce himself to Cockers at the ceremony.

You should have gone for Murray McCallum, it would have made the joke work better.

I went for Eroni Sau in the end, despite the high number on his back.

It was meant to be a joke on my part too, but it looks more than a bit patronising and pedantic on second reading,

Apologies
