TryUmph for Teenage Cancer 2010

Postby kilo-gram on Thu Jul 15, 2010 10:36 pm

For the 3rd year in a row, a team of young rugby players will take on the might of the Scottish Legends in a match to raise funds for TryUmph for Teenage Cancer. This year will see the event move to Meggetland, Home of Boroughmuir RFC, so that if the weather is awful like last year or as glorious as the innaugural event there are ample options for spectators. TryUmph for Teenage Cancer RFC will be looking for their first win with the Scottish Legends unbeaten having beaten TryUmph for Teenage Cancer RFC 58-36(2008) and 68-38(2009) in 2 very entertaining matches.

Please spread the word as we aim to make this the biggest yet. More details about the event will be announced in the next few weeks before the event. But I can confirm (much to the delight of Loops I'm sure) there will be home baking stalls.

Just to remind you, one week until the 3rd annual TryUmph for Teenage Cancer takes place at Meggetland, home of Boroughmuir RFC.
Come along and support a great cause as former Scotland captain Jon Petrie, leads the Scottish Legends as they aim to make it 3 wins in a row against the young TryUmph for Teenage Cancer RFC, captained by cancer survivor Kyle McPherson.
Entry is just £3 (£1 for under 12s) and all money raised on the day will go towards helping teenagers with cancer in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
It is sure to be a great day out for all of the family with a raffle, tombola, music, food and drink available in the clubhouse alongwith the entertainment out on the rugby pitch.
