Black and Red Radio caught up with 19-year-old stand-off Harry Leonard after training today to talk about the youngster’s transition into professional rugby and orchestrating a backline of capped Scotland internationalists.
Leonard slotted the penalty kick that secured Edinburgh Rugby a losing bonus point the last time the capital club were in Italy (v Aironi) and now, having putting in a composed showing in the recent home match against Leinster, Leonard is ready to put in another pivotal performance in Italy this weekend against Treviso.
He said: “During the games it’s a big step up. The matches are a lot more physical and played at a higher tempo but having players around me like Chris Paterson and Greig Laidlaw around me have really helped so the transition hasn’t being too bad but I’m still making that transition having only started one game.
