I don't believe there is anybody out there that doesn't know the tune to Always look on the bright side of life but just in case .......

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlBiLNN1NhQ

Easy to learn shortened Edinburgh version:

Always look on the bright side of life...
Do doo do doo do doo do doo (replaces whistle)
Always look on the light side of life...
Do doo do doo do doo do doo

If life seems jolly rotten
There’s something you’ve forgotten
And that’s to watch the Gunners do their thing
When you’re feeling in the dumps
Don’t be silly chumps
Just remember we’re Scotland’s top team and then sing

Always look on the bright side of life...
Do doo do doo do doo do doo
Always look on the light side of life...
Do doo do doo do doo do doo

Thanks to Darth Ruck for that one and also for this:

He's Fast,
He's Red
He'll leave your team for dead
Roddy Grant, Roddy Grant......

REPEAT (Often & loud)

ERSC members & Darth will be leading a bit of a rehearsal before the Ulster match in the Fortress Clubhouse (Prezzy Suite). All are encouraged to join in.

After the success of "You cannae shove yer Granny aff a bus" in Paris last week, could I suggest some variations that might be equally successful?

"Ye cannae shove Visser aff a try."
Ye cannae shove Chunk out a scrum.
................... Mossy off a kick.
...................Jimbo, full stop.

And my personal favourite, suggested by Baz as an Edinburgh v Glasgow song:
Ye cannae shove a Weegie aff yer seat. :D :D :D

Suggestions for more verses eagerly anticipated! One verse of each of the team, plus a chorus, should keep us singing for most of the match.

I was quite sorry no-one joined in the Doh a Deer rendition near me, but maybe next time! (Nigel, we need you!)

One of the Stade supporters last week was telling me that they have about four Supporters Clubs, and each one is responsible for a different area of the stadium. They have members down at the front of each section with drums, etc., and they are the people who start off the singing or chant. In our area the guys doing the leading were wearing different hats from the rest, and they stood up to let everyone see when they were about to start singing/chanting. They also kept the youngsters in the area right with rugby etiquette - like not chanting when a player was down injured. The Stade support were amongst the best I've come across, the atmosphere was much more like it used to be in rugby, with the support applauding good play on both sides, and very definitely supporting their team, not being rude to the other side ( naming no names, but not like the Ulster support  )

So, lets keep plugging away at getting the sound levels up. The noise was deafening in our area when the team started to get the ascendancy, so our next step is to try and get that all the time!

Given that some people seem to think various posters on here are too optimistic, maybe our song of choice should be Always Look On The Bright Side of Life. :D

Just stick some tape on it and I'll be fine!!

I'm liking this one! We just need to agree which names to put in.

We were at an American Football game recently, and they had the words to their songs up on the big screen, which meant that all those willing to sing started at the same time, and had the words in large letters right there in front of them. Good idea.
