Men's Health Project - Ask a question

Postby Tim Street on Mon Oct 19, 2009 4:03 pm

I am currently project managing a piece of work for the European Men's Health Forum (EMHF) designed to gather the experiences of men dealing with prostate cancer. This can have a major impact on men’s relationships with other people and is therefore very important to deal with as quickly as possible.

This is a web based initiative using a website where men, or their partners, can seek anonymous advice from specialist health professionals in a private conversation. There is no need to give any personal information and no one is trying to sell anything!

The website is at www.yourprostate.eu where men can ask anything they want about issues to do with the prostate. We are also interested in men’s thoughts on what was the point where they felt they had to seek support or diagnosis. This site has a specialist urology nurse available to answer any questions about this issue.

EMHF is a charity that aims to make it easier for men to take responsibility for their health, and as such is looking to gather information on what men find important about this aspect of health, so that this can form the basis of a report to policy makers. You can read more here: www.emhf.org

We would really appreciate it if you would visit the site and use it, or tell anyone else about it that may find it useful.

It could certainly be life saving. Don't know if that counts as recreational or not.

Frillage mate, you just raised quite a few quid for a very worthwhile charity of which I'm intimately familiar. If a few more tests for males of a certain age were available then I might not be where I am today.
Men are too macho and ignore things, get tested for everything you can when you can, then you might not have an event which totally changes your life. Go for it boys. :)
