Lots of people still have stuff to do leading up to Christmas, whereas on Boxing Day most people are looking for something to do. Not that it's representative of everyone, but my group was 8 last year but only 3 going this year.

On the other hand, anyone who goes away for Christmas is more likely to make it. This will be the first 1872 game I ever manage to get to.

Do you know what the capacity of the East Stand is? I've seen different answers between 10,000 and 16,000 so wasn't sure...
Petrie said earlier this week that sales were 'on track' for a record crowd for the fixture, which would have to mean 24,000 or more. Think Tom English said a crowd of 'close to' 30,000 was expected, but suspect that may be pushing it.

Think they get a lot of walk ups for this fixture particularly if it's a decent day as everyone knows there will be no problem getting in. If the Scotsman's intel is correct, they must be hoping for 27-28k.
Cockers also quite vocal about the decider which he believes should be played in front of a packed out Myreside, and ergo in front of as many away fans as we will be in Scotstoun (which won't be very many). Brilliant stuff. He doesn't care who he rattles does he?
